Frequently Asked Questions

The .sdx or .chl format is the channel database used by GTMedia/Freesat/Tiger/StarSat/Magic decoders. It contains all the technical data required by the decoder to tune satellite channels.

Yes. The lists contain only public-domain technical data (frequencies, transponders, PIDs) required to receive freely broadcast channels. No decryption codes or instructions for accessing paid content are included.

You can request support for your decoder through the dedicated page. We will review your request and contact you back.

The satellite database is checked daily. PIDs are updated weekly. You can monitor update status on the Status page.

Each generated list contains a unique ID that allows us to verify its authenticity if shared. This protects users from counterfeit lists distributed through unofficial channels. Sharing any file exported from Sat-List.com is prohibited.

Yes. In ProEditor, once your list is loaded, the "Import satellite from SatList.com" button adds the channels of a satellite from our database to what you already have, leaving the rest untouched. You can import the satellite as a single bouquet, or keep the bouquets the way we organise them. It helps when your list is current on some positions but stale on others, or when you want a position you have never scanned.

ProEditor reads five formats: .sdx from GTMedia and Freesat, .chl from Tiger, StarSat and Magic, Enigma2 .zip (lamedb and bouquets), .db from the Atlanta 4K CI and .bin from the Atlanta G5 Mini. Once loaded, a list can be edited and exported in a different format from the one it came in: that is how you move between decoders without starting over.
