Channel Editor: build your custom satellite channel list

The world's first fully online channel list editor

Until now, customizing a satellite channel list meant hand-editing configuration files or relying on dedicated desktop software, often complex and tied to a single decoder operating system. Sat-List's Editor changes that: it's a genuine channel editing tool that runs entirely online, the first of its kind, working from any browser with nothing to install.

You can pick the satellite channels to include one by one, decide which provider (bouquet) each one belongs to, reorder them however you like, and generate the file ready for your decoder — GTMedia/Freesat, Viark or Enigma2 — always drawing from Sat-List's up-to-date channel database, so frequencies and technical data are always correct.

How to open the Editor

The Editor is on Sat-List's main page, among the list-generation modes.

Selecting channels, spreadsheet-style

Inside a provider, the channel table behaves like a spreadsheet: you can select one or several channels in a few clicks.

• Single click on a row: selects that channel.
• Shift-click: selects a continuous range of channels, from the last clicked one to the new one.
• "Select all" / "Deselect all": two dedicated buttons for working quickly across an entire provider.
• Each channel shows its name, category and country — handy for finding your way even on very long providers.

Reordering channels and providers with drag & drop

Both the channels inside a provider and the providers themselves can be dragged to change their order.

• Drag a channel (or a block of selected channels) to move it to another position, even into a different provider.
• Drag a provider's header to reorder the whole card relative to the other providers.
• While dragging you see a live preview of the final position, before you even release it.

Moving channels with copy, cut and paste

Besides drag & drop, you can use copy/cut/paste — from the context menu (right-click on a row) or from the keyboard, exactly like in a spreadsheet.

Creating a provider of your own

If the existing providers aren't enough, you can create a new one and fill it with the channels you want.

Trash and restore: no mistake is final

Every deletion — of a channel or of an entire provider — ends up in a dedicated trash: nothing is lost by accident.

• Channel trash: lists every deleted channel, showing which provider it came from. Restore them one by one or all at once.
• Provider trash: same logic for entirely deleted providers, along with a count of the channels they contained.
• Restore positions: brings providers back to their original order, if you've moved things around too much and want a clean slate.
• Reset a provider's channels / Empty a provider: two separate actions — the first restores the original channels, the second removes them all (they still end up in the trash).

Finding a channel or provider instantly

The Editor's search bar has two modes: search among channels (by name) or search among providers. Handy on satellites with hundreds of channels, so you don't have to scroll through the whole list by hand.

Saving your work and resuming it whenever you like

You don't have to finish customizing in a single session: the Editor generates a session code you can save and reuse later, even from a different device.
