ProEditor: upload, edit and export your existing list

An advanced editor for lists you already have

Unlike the classic Editor, which builds a list from scratch using Sat-List's channel database, ProEditor starts from a file you already have: your current configuration, a provider's list, or a file downloaded elsewhere. It analyzes it and extracts satellites, transponders, bouquets and channels with all the original technical data (frequencies, audio PIDs, CA, etc.), making them available in a dense spreadsheet-style editing grid.

You can rename channels, move them between bouquets, reorder, remove duplicates or unwanted content, and finally generate a file ready for your decoder — even in a different format from the original. The uploaded file is never stored permanently on our servers: it's analyzed in an isolated environment and discarded right after, only the normalized data tied to your session code remains.

How to open ProEditor and upload a file

ProEditor is on Sat-List's main page, among the list-generation modes.

Which files you can upload

ProEditor automatically detects the uploaded file's format and validates it before opening it for editing.

• .sdx — format used by GTMedia/Freesat decoders with ALi SoC (V8 UHD, V8X, V7 Pro, Freesat V8 Ultra).
• .chl — format used by all GTMedia/Freesat, Tiger and Spider decoders.
• Enigma2 .zip — must contain the bouquets.tv/bouquets.radio files, the individual userbouquet files, and the receiver's lamedb (or lamedb5) file.
• Real audio PIDs are only available for files coming from sdx or chl: an Enigma2 file doesn't contain them by design of the lamedb format, so if you later export those channels to sdx or chl there could be audio issues — if that happens, open a ticket from the support page.

ProEditor's three panels

Once a file is open, the editing panel is split into three columns, designed for working quickly even on very large lists.

• Services — the full list of every channel found in the file, with search and filters.
• Bouquet channels — the channels already in the selected bouquet, reorderable via drag & drop.
• Bouquets — the list of all bouquets/providers in the file, selectable to open its content in the middle panel.
• Each panel has independent zoom (hold Ctrl and use the mouse wheel), and columns can be resized by dragging their border.

Moving channels and bouquets with drag & drop

You can reorganize the list by dragging channels with drag & drop, or by typing the position directly in the box to the left of the name.

• You can move/copy/paste one or more channels from the "Services" panel to "Bouquet channels" to add them to the open bouquet.
• Drag a channel within "Bouquet channels" to change its position, or simply type the desired position.
• "Bouquets" can also be deleted, reordered or created.

Finding channels and bouquets quickly

The "Services" panel has a multi-token search bar: you can type several keywords separated by spaces and ProEditor searches for all of them together, even across different columns.

• Column selector: choose which field to search on (name, category, country, etc.) for more precise results.
• Search is instant, results filter in the blink of an eye.
• Per-panel zoom (Ctrl + wheel) is useful together with search when working on lists with thousands of channels without losing the overview.

Technical limits by format

Every decoder format has hardware or format-level limits that ProEditor checks before generating the final file, to avoid producing a list your decoder can't load correctly.

• GTMedia/Freesat (sdx/chl) — maximum 8000 channels per file, due to these decoders' RAM limit.
• Tiger (chl) — the format doesn't support DTT content: if present in the original file, it's automatically excluded when exporting to this format.
• Enigma2 — no channel limit imposed by the format itself.

Saving your session and resuming later

You don't have to finish editing in one sitting: after the first upload, ProEditor generates a session code you can save and reuse later, even from another device, without re-uploading the original file.

Exporting to any supported format

Once you're done editing, choose the destination decoder: you can generate the file in the same format as the uploaded file, or convert it to one of the other two supported formats. Conversion always respects the technical limits of the chosen format (see the "Limits" section above) and automatically applies the Sat-List watermark, present in every file generated by the site.
